Lånekassen has an online inbox where you can read letters from Lånekassen, and send and receive e-mail. You can also see status for attachments, letters and applications on paper that you have sent us.
About the inbox at Dine sider
You find the online inbox at your personal pages, Dine sider. In order to read the letters online, you have to consent to online communication with Lånekassen. You will be asked to consent when you log on to Dine sider.
You will get an e-mail or SMS from us when we send you a letter at Dine sider. This service is free.

Individual decision
If it is an individual decision, a letter with contents that are significant for your rights and obligations, it will be sent you in the post, if you have not opened it online within a week. You can still find the letter at Dine sider later. Examples are
- Conversion of a loan into a grant when you have passed an exam
- Payment plan
- Conversion after tax assessment
- Response to application for postponement of payment
- Response to application for interest exemption
Letter of information
If it is a letter of information or other information, the letter is not sent you in the post, even if you do not open it at Dine sider. Examples are
- Annual statement
- Confirmation that loan has been paid off
- Educational loan newsletter (1-2 times a year)
- User surveys by e-mail
- Payment reminders by SMS
If you no longer wish to receive individual decisions and information letters only in your Dine sider inbox or information by e-mail/SMS, you may withdraw your consent later.
The inbox at Dine sider
All information at Dine sider is in Norwegian. Here is a brief explanation to what you find in the inbox. The table lists the letters we have sent to you, and information about letters, attachments and e-mails you have sent to us.
- "Dato sendt og mottatt": The date we sent you a letter, the date your letter or attachment was received at Lånekassen, or the date you sent us an e-mail.
- "Sendt og motatt": Title of letter sent from Lånekassen, or information about letter, attachment or e-mail you have sent to us.
- "Status": The date you opened a letter, and status updates for your letter, attachment or e-mail ("Mottatt" = received; "Behandlet av Lånekassen" = processed by Lånekassen; "Åpnet" = opened).
- "Varsel sendt til deg": The date we sent you a message on e-mail or SMS, that you have received a new letter in your inbox.
E-mail at Dine sider
You can send e-mail and read answers to e-mail in the inbox at Dine sider. You must have consented to online communication with Lånekassen for you to send and receive e-mail at Dine sider.
Attachments
You can see whether attachments, letters and applications on paper, have been received at Lånekassen.
