You consent to online communication with Lånekassen. This means that you will receive certain types of letters and information from Lånekassen at Dine sider or by e-mail or SMS.
Individual decisions
An individual decision is a letter with contents that are significant for your rights and obligations in respect of the State Educational Loan Fund. Examples of individual decisions:
- Conversion of a loan into a grant afterwhen you have the exam has been passed an exam
- Payment scheduleplan
- Conversion after tax assessment
- Response to application for postponement of payment deferment
- Response to application for interest exemption
If you have not opened the electronic individual decision within a week of notification by SMS or e-mail, the letter will be sent by post.
Information letters
An information letter is a letter with information for you as a customer. These are not sent by post. Examples of information:
- Annual statement
- Notification of interest rate change
- Confirmation that loan has been paid off
- Educational loan newsletter (1-2 times a year)
- User surveys by e-mail
SMS and e-mail
SMS and e-mail give you information or reminders as a customer.
Examples are SMS and/or e-mail giving you
- information about case processing and payment of grants or loans
- information about payment deadlines
The State Educational Loan Fund decides whether information is sent by e-mail or SMS based on its content. Sensitive information is not sent by e-mail or SMS and will not be made available on Dine sider.
