Application for support for transport drivers
This is what are you applying for
In the application you apply for basic support and an eventual additional loan for school fees. You may choose to apply for only the part of the basic support that can be converted to a grant, or the entire loan.
The application also applies to other grants and loans that only certain groups are entitled to. These are child grant, additional loan and refugee grant.
There are separate applications for parental grant and additional grant due to disability.
Choose this in the application
If you want to become a bus driver, you choose either "140 t grunnutdanning, persontransport" or "Førerkort kl D + 140 t grunnutdanning, persontransport".
If you want to become a lorry driver, you choose either «140 t grunnutdanning, godtransport" or "Førerkort kl C/CE + 140 t grunnutdanning, godstransport".
If you are unable to find the school, it has not been approved for support from Lånekassen.
In most cases, documentation is not required for programmes in Norway. If you nevertheless are required to submit documentation, you will be informed of this in the application. If you don’t have documentation ready when you are applying, you may submit it later.
You will receive a response or notification of the application’s status within 24 hours.

Application for courses starting after
1 August 2021
You may search for loans and grants for the academic year 2021-2022.
The deadline for application is before you have completed the course. If your course starts before 1 March and concludes after 15 March, you must apply before 15 March 2022.
