Examples of the amounts of debt that could be written off

Lånekassen has several schemes in place to write off debt for teachers. The terms and conditions and application deadlines for the schemes differ. The schemes can be combined.

This page includes examples of the amounts of debt that could be written off under the individual schemes and by combining two or more schemes. You need to read the pages below to find complete information about the schemes. No write-off is automatic. You need to apply. Find out when and how to apply by clicking on the links below. The information in brackets indicates the chapter of the repayment regulations that relates to the scheme.

The amount you save will be higher than the amount that is written off

You should also remember that you do not have to pay interest on the amount that is written off.
